Well, honestly… I’d have no problem with him retiring. Here’s what the fuck he needs to do: He needs to retire. Has Tech ever scrapped a song? Has he ever said the words “this isn’t good enough?” I feel like he throws literally every sound that he records on his albums. We don’t need albums with 30 fucking tracks. He should be the first rapper that comes to everyone’s mind when people bring up artists who over saturate Hip Hop. I really don’t think he’ll ever have a truly amazing album. I think his music is better today than it was when he first started, but that’s really not saying much. I think he can be cool as a rapper, but this motherfucker CANNOT sing. Cringe inducing Pornocore + cringe inducing Horrorcore + cringe inducing Gangsta Rap = Tech N9ne’s discography. Literally every single album follows the same formula. He has a severe case of what I call Eminem Syndrome. I just think he’s a fucking terrible musician. I would’ve never started this marathon in the first place if I thought he was completely wack af. There are a lot of songs from him that I can listen to and enjoy.
And don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that literally all his music is trash.
He’s not the only MC who can rap fast tho.
As I said in my review of The Calm Before The Storm, I really feel like the only selling point of his music is his impressive flow. You know how? He’s been making the same fucking album for over 10 years. Why the fuck did I do this?
